Douglas W. Holmes

Mr. Douglas Holmes is a software engineer at the IBM Silicon Valley Laboratories in San Jose, California. For many years, Doug has worked in the computer operations and project management field, having worked in addition to IBM for Wells Fargo Bank and Agora Technology Associates. Prior to that, Doug worked for PG&E as a systems analyst, director and manager of various operations and information technology departments for 26 years.

He has demonstrated leadership, managerial and planning abilities through his long work history in management, finance, organization and information technology. Doug received his BA degree in mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley and his MBA from the California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo.

He has served on several boards of directors including the American Baptist Churches of the West Board of Managers and the American Baptist Churches, USA General Board where he was a member of the Executive Committee and chaired the General Board Committee on Planning and Evaluation. Doug is also a member of the Piedmont Gardens Advisory Board in Oakland, California, and chairs its Budget and Finance Committee.” (Member since 2009)
