Mrs. Gloria Marshall has been a member of the Rosewood Advisory Board and served as the chair for many years.

Mrs. Marshall currently serves as an Elder at Olive Church in Bakersfield, and as the Chairperson for the “Children to Love” Board of Directors (a mission agency working with Romanian orphans and Untouchable children in India). She has served as past president of the American Baptist Churches of the Pacific Southwest, as chairperson for Resource Development for American Baptist Women Ministries/USA, and as the chairperson of the Africa Committee for International Ministries of the General Board of ABC/USA.

Mrs. Marshall served as an American Baptist Missionary to Congo for 13 years and taught at the International School in Kinshasa. She and her husband administered a retirement facility for 100 seniors and are now directing a new ministry “Senior Serve” a Representative Payee agency that cares for a population of people with mental and addiction challenges. They have served as pastor and wife for two American Baptist churches in the Pacific Southwest and as the area Minister for Arizona. Mrs. Marshall is a frequent mission speaker and a spiritual growth speaker for women’s retreats.

She is a graduate of Eastern University and has taken graduate studies in French and African Culture in Brussels, Belgium. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and a teaching credential from the state of Pennsylvania. (Board Member since 2003 - Liaison for Rosewood in Bakersfield.)
