Julie B. Michaels
Julie Michaels joined the ABHOW Board of Directors in 2008. Julie has been involved with the long term care field for over 30 years having started at age 15 working during the summers at Piedmont Gardens. She also worked at Plymouth Village while attending college and held several positions there including Director of Resident Services and Executive Director.

Julie’s mom and great-aunt are current residents of Plymouth Village. In addition to her experience with ABHOW and Plymouth Village, Julie has provided assistance in the fields of Alzheimer’s care, strategic planning, finance and communication.

Julie is currently an intervention teacher at Highland Grove Elementary School. She has a strong belief in giving back to the community and has served on several boards of directors of community based service and educational organizations. Julie served on the University of Redlands Board Of Trustees as well as the Alumni Board of Directors on various committees and recently served as President of the board during the University’s Centennial year.

She received a B.S. in biology and mathematics as well as a secondary teaching credential from Californian Lutheran University and a multiple subject teaching credential and MBA from the University of Redlands. (Member since 2008)
