The Rev. Dr. Lloyd E. Howard was Associate Minister for the American Baptist Churches of the Pacific Southwest and as Chaplain of Plymouth Village prior to his retirement. He served local churches before going to the regional office. He was on the staff of churches in Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Massachusetts and California. Dr. Howard has had experience in many Christian education and leadership development programs and has served as leader and trainer for many organizations including the Center for Parish Development in Chicago and the American Baptist Seminary of the West. He has provided conflict management and personal spiritual growth and marriage enrichment programs as well. Dr. Howard was a member of a team that developed Special Care Units for Alzheimer’s patients. His wife Mary suffered from this affliction for seventeen years.

Dr. Howard earned a BA from the University of Redlands, a Bachelor of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from the American Baptist Seminary of the West. He lives at Plymouth Village, an ABHOW community, in Redlands, California. (Member since 2010)
