"When I give I give myself," wrote the poet Walt Whitman. Charitable giving engages all of who we are – our personality and our beliefs, our history and our aspirations – and connects us to someone in need. Generosity is the foundation of community.

Ths year the ABHOW Foundation celebrates it 40th annversay.  Since 1968 the ABHOW Foundation has nurtured communities by providing financial support to residents who require assistance. Through a variety of planned giving and charitable programs, the ABHOW Foundation enriches the lives of those who give and those who receive.

" Forty Years of Caring for our Neighbors" - that's our theme for this anniversary year.  We honor the wisdom of our founders, the stewardship of our managers and board members, and, above all, the generosity of our donors.  Thousand of lives have been enhanced by the work of the Foundation since 1968.  We have helped our neighbors enjoy life to its fullest. That's the legacy we share and the history we celebrate in 2008.
